Do I need to have an advert image to participate in submitting my website?

Yes, your listing results will be displayed using this advert or image. You should design your advert so it attracts the attention of the user. Remember a picture is worth a thousand words. The objective is to get the user to want to click you your ad.

Is this website only for businesses who wish to sell items online?

No, you don’t have to be a website selling something to participate in wordestate. This website is for anyone with any kind of website, so feel free to submit your website today. If you want to be found for a particular keyword or phrase and you want traffic then this site is for you.

Why, Word Estate?

Where do I go to add my advert image?

When you submit your website you will be asked to upload your advert image. When you submit your own advert image make sure you try and keep to our standards. The image size must be 230x190 pixels and max 30kb. Saved and uploaded as a JPG or GIF file. To submit your website click here.

Can I get my advert image designed for me?

Yes. Any bid $50 or greater includes a free advert image designed for your website if required. Please specify in the additional comments if you you need your advert image designed and created for you.

How do I get my image on the first 9 images on the homepage?

Easy. The image listings with the highest bid for any keyword will be the first 9 listings displayed.

Is it true that it only costs $1 to submit my website?
Yes that’s true. $1 is all it cost to list your website and advert image on Word Estate. If you’re not happy with your position/rank you can always improve it by increasing your bid. Click here to add your website for $1.

Increasing your bid?

When you increase your bid, the amount is added to your current bid.

e.g. your current bid = $10.00

You add $5.00 to your current bid.

Your new bid amount is now $15.00

Each bid is per keyword/phrase. You can increase your bid by as much as you want and as many times as you want.

How can I add my advert image and keyword for free?

If you can't afford afford $1.00 you can always add your advert image listing for FREE by clicking here.

Can I change my advert image at anytime?

Sure, just send us an email attached with your updated image and some details on your listing, and we will make the change for you. Your request will be verified for your listing via email.

I’m having problems submitting my link

Simply send us an email stating your problem and someone will get back to you as soon as possible or within 24 hours. Please use our contact form.

I just added my listing and it doesn’t seem to appear when I perform a search….

If you have just added your listing… you will need to wait until it has been approved (approval time is usually under 24 hours). Otherwise if your submission has already been approved then try making sure your searching by the keyword or phrase you added on signup.
Most sites are accepted but using oscene and pornagraphic advert images for your listing is not.

How can I add more keywords to my listing?

If you want your listing to be listed under more keywords, you will need to re submit your website and advert image, the same way you did the first time. Click here to submit your website.

Exact match search

The search engine works using exact match like (" "). The displayed results will be for the exact keyword or phrase searched. For example if you wish to search for “pen” it wont display results for “pens” or “pencils”. So for webmasters it would be a good idea to grab plural keywords like “pen” and “pens”.

How long will I be listed on Word Estate for?

From the day you submit your website your listing will remain in the results. Your displayed results position or ranking is determined by the bid amount on your chosen keyword. Whoever has the highest bid amount on a chosen keyword will be positioned first.

The bidding on keywords never closes, so your position can change daily for a given keyword or phrase. You control where you want to be.

How do I increase my current bid?

1) Perform a search on your keyword.
2) Then find your advert image listing.

3) Then located to the bottom left hand corner of your advert image listing you will see, for example “Bid: $100” click on the word ”Bid” then you will be directed to a page where you can increase your bid. The recommended bid amount will be calculated for top position for your keyword. But the choice is yours.

How long does it take for my listing to be processed?
Your listing shouldn’t take more than 24 hours to be processed.
